My Story: Growing Up with the Universal Century

I was born and raised in East Asia, surrounded by the vibrant "Gashapon culture" that defines the hobby. For me, Gundam wasn't just a show; it was a childhood staple. I grew up with easy access to high-quality, affordable Gashapon machines on almost every street corner.

Over the years, I built everything from Master Grades to entry-level kits, but I eventually fell in love with Mobile Suit Ensemble. To me, they are the pinnacle of Gundam collectibles—perfectly balancing incredible detail with a level of playability and durability that you just don't get with standard Gunpla. They became the heart of my personal collection.

 

The "UK Struggle" is Real

When I moved to the UK, I hit a wall. Suddenly, the hobby I loved became difficult and frustratingly expensive.

I saw Gashapon sets priced at double—sometimes triple—what I knew they cost in Asia.
